How to Get Rid of Dark Circles

Hey everyone! Today I am going to give you tips on how to prevent or get rid of dark circles. This doesn't bother me much because I wear glasses over my eyes so it kind of covers them up but I still hate having them! Some of them may be really obvious or you already know, but I'm going to tell you them anyway! The reason you get dark circles are because of the blood vessels that are under our skin, and because the eyelids and under the eyes, they tend to show. The reason they show more when we are tired is because more blood passes through the vessels when we are tired. If you have darker hair (me, me!) or skin (unfortunately, not so much...) then you can be affected more by dark circles than someone with fair skin and hair. Anyways, here are ways to get rid of them!

1. Get lots of sleep
This is definately one of the more obvious ones, but it really does help. Even a few minutes earlier at night or a few minutes later in the morning can make a difference. Don't get too much sleep though, as this can make your dark circles more noticeable!

2. Drink lots of water
Drinking water definately helps get rid of dark circles, I know from experience. I don't know excactly why it helps but I think it is because it wakes you up more! I have a glass of water every time I wake up and every time I go to sleep, and it helps a lot. I recommend this technique strongly!

3. Cucumbers and cucumber juice
I think this helps because some vitamin in the cucumbers helps lighten the skin (?) I really don't know why but I hear that this works! Just put two slices of cucumber (or two cotton balls dipped in cucumber juice) on your eyes for 15 minutes and just *relax* and then your ready to go!

4.  Cold Teabags
What you do with the teabags is excactly what you would do with the cucumber slices. Just sit and *relax* for 15 minutes. If you can try and find chamomile flavour as it works best.

5. Massage your eyes
I tend not to do this because it would smudge my mascara but it works. This reduces the look of dark circles around your eyes because it moves the amount of blood in the vessels to other areas around your face. Massage your eyes regularly and I hope it works for you!

6. Cold Teaspoons
Put two cold teaspoons in the fridge until slightly cold and then place on eyes for 10-15 minutes and, you've guessed it, *relax*.

7. Use a product that is designed for getting rid of dark circles
Well duh!? Does what it says on the tin my lovelies... I recommend Garnier BB Cream Roll-On, it definately works for me!

8. Eat Healthily
Hey you! Yes you! Reaching for that Snickers bar! Stop! It is scientifically proven that eating junk food improves the look of dark circles. I know it sounds painful, but you need to eat more of you veggies! Gasp!

9. *Relax*
Yes, stressing out does not help decrease the look of dark circles. You just need to *relax*...

10. Potatoes!
Soak a cotton ball in potatoe juice (Sounds weird, right?) and, yet agn, *relax* for 15 minutes or so. I like this alot!

I hope these tips helped out with your dark circles. Please comment!

My First Review!: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

ALLOR!!:) My first review! Yey! Well I decided to do my first review on my trustworthy and loyal companion, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder! This powder (I have transparent!)  I actually nicked from my Mum (tee hee!), but so far, it has been really good. I have even got to the bottom of the tin!I apply the powder with brushes, makeup sponges and sometimes when I feel really lazy or in a rush, my fingers! I find it works best with makeup sponges as with brushes (and fingertips!) it doesn't come off of the appliar (not sure if that's spelt right!) easily enough. I use this product daily and sometimes I just use it by itself, without the foundation underneath because it just works well like that! The product also works very well on hiding dark circles! When I do have foundation underneath it it really helps take off the shine and give off an overall perfect finish. It also helps when you have a foundation that is too dark for you skintone (like I do!) and makes it look lighter! The only bad thing I have to say about this product is that it doesn't stay on as long as I'd want it to and I have to keep re-applying it. Overall, I would give this product 8/10!

My blog won't really have a theme, but I will be talking about makeup and hair mostly, and I really don't know what else I will talk about! Anyways... (awkward silence...)
